iti guhyatamaṃ śāstramidamuktaṃ mayā'nagha |
ētat buddhvā buddhimān syāt kṛtakṛtyaśca bhārata || 15.20 ||
O Arjuna! Thus this most secret teaching has been imparted by Me. Having
known this, one becomes wise and fulfilled, Oh Arjuna!
atha kena prayuktoyaṁ
pāpaṁ carati pūruṣaḥ
anicchann api vārṣṇeya

Vasana is a Sanskrit term that refers to a past impression in the mind that influences behavior. Vasanas can be good or bad:
If you are not playing Golf, play golf.
If you are playing golf, stop playing.

Desire, anger and greed --- this threefold gateway to hell is the cause of
one’s own destruction. Therefore one should give up these three.
ētairvimuktaḥ kauntēya tamōdvāraistribhirnaraḥ |
ācaratyātmanaḥ śrēyastatō yāti parāṃ gatim || 16.22 ||
Oh Arjuna! Freed from these three gates of hell, a man pursues what is good
for himself (and) thus attain the supreme goal.

“Om TAT SAT” is considered to be the threefold designation of Brahman. By
uttering this the brahmins, the Vēdās and the Yajñās were created long ago.
