iti guhyatamaṃ śāstramidamuktaṃ mayā'nagha |
ētat buddhvā buddhimān syāt kṛtakṛtyaśca bhārata || 15.20 ||
O Arjuna! Thus this most secret teaching has been imparted by Me. Having
known this, one becomes wise and fulfilled, Oh Arjuna!

trividhaṃ narakasyēdaṃ dvāraṃ nāśanamātmanaḥ |
kāmaḥ krōdhastathā lōbhastasmādētattrayaṃ tyajēt || 16.21 ||
Desire, anger and greed --- this threefold gateway to hell is the cause of
one’s own destruction. Therefore one should give up these three.
ētairvimuktaḥ kauntēya tamōdvāraistribhirnaraḥ |
ācaratyātmanaḥ śrēyastatō yāti parāṃ gatim || 16.22 ||
Oh Arjuna! Freed from these three gates of hell, a man pursues what is good
for himself (and) thus attain the supreme goal.
