Looking for study group or Satsang

    in Discussion and feedback

Hari Om, This is Ashoka, I got the reference to this group from Dr. Srikanth KV from Bangalore - Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences. Both my wife and I now listen to every Friday online session on youtube. We really like the Online Gita Classes which is done with an excellent passion. However, we live in Folsom, CA. USA Please let us know if you have any Study group or Satsang that we can attend which allows us to ask questions and clarifications we have.  Thank you, Ashoka

Yes sir. Sorry for being not clear. It always happens because of habitual default_thinking: which always ends in fault, which result one cannot store in a vault. We have forgotten fresh thinking in every moment, every situation which is required every moment for our every movement. We always go by: i know this: i can easily handle it! Some journalist wanted to take a dig at George Bernard Shaw: and asked: who is the most intelligent person and expected Shaw to say: Myself: But Shaw saw thru it and replied: My Tailor. When questioned further Shaw replied: The only person who behaves sensibly is my tailor. He takes new measurements everytime he sees me. All the rest go on with old measurements! What a beautiful philosophical statement of upanishadic standards: my Guru Swami Parthasarathy always used to quote this. Sorry for being in a muse-ical mode: 10.15 ist every Sunday morning upto 1115 am. Live classes: not recorded. Thru zoom. So Zoom yourselves to a_soka. Ramu

    Dear Ashoka, Thank you.

Swami Anubhavanandaji says that satsang is the best way for spiritual practice.

At Bengaluru, we are fortunate to have a group of sincere seekers under the guidance of Dr.Thimappa Hegde. We discuss, (used to) meet once a week in small groups, and get together periodically in retreats. We listen to Dr.Hegde, study transcripts of talks by swamiji's, listen to audio and video talks and present our understanding in our meetings. We clear our doubts by interactive question and answer sessions guided by Dr.Hegde.

For effective satsang, we require two constituents-

    1. group of seekers in same path

    2. teachings from great masters

In this era of pandemic and with other worldly commitments, internet is a boon for spiritual seekers as it connects like minded seekers with one another and with teachings of great masters.

Param Vedanta aspires to create a platform where like minded seekers get together. Welcome. Get your friends too.

Ask questions. Your questions will get replies from fellow seekers. But, finally, the answer will be known only by yourself through inquiry supported by those replies.

Links to teachings of great gurus will be shared in this website. Good resources are spread out in the vastness of internet. We will post and catalogue good quality links as resources. Please share such material, whenever you find some useful material in the web.

Thanks to Sri P.S. Ramachandran for sharing Vedanta Academy's talks.

To start with, please explore https://www.vedantahub.org/ . It is a treasure.

Dear Ashoka: Other than attending this Param Vedanta's Friday online classes, I would like to suggest another online class being conducted by one of my gurubhais, on Sundays, in English, at 10.15 to 11.15 a.m. The details are as under:

zoom id: 8627278 1343 password 895204. The Teacher is Shyam Nataraj, one of the senior disciples of Swami Parthasarathy of Vedanta Academy at Lonavala. This will be a live class, studying BG sloka-wise. Right now in 2nd chapter I think. Anyway, once you start attending, you will be able to pick up. Thanks and regards.
