In the Gita class on 30th Oct, in one of the examples, Jivatma was considered as the wave, paramatma was considered as ocean, and Atma as water. Water is essential nature of both ocean and wave One question is, in terms of capabilities, is paramatma then different or more powerful when compared to Jivatma. For example, a ship can go only in a ocean, but not on a single wave. So, that way, ocean is more capable Another example is a waterfall and a small rivulet. Essential nature is water again, but waterfall can rotate a turbine while rivulet cannot.

When the consciousness principle leaves a body, we call it dead or lifeless. This is easy to understand How do we understand existence principle with a similar example? For example, what happens when the existence principle leaves a chair?

The link below describes the experience of Swami Vivekananda during meditation. This looks like an extraordinary blissful experience. If this is correct, then why should a spiritual seeker not look at meditation for such experiences? In the presentation on Chapter 6, it was mentioned that meditation is not for these experiences.

What is the difference between Sushupti and Samadhi with respect to the state of the mind? Would it be correct to say that the intellect or buddhi is active in Samadhi and dormant in Sushupti?

If Atma is present everywhere, why does Vedanta teach us to look inwards for Atma Gyanam. Why can't we get this Gyanam by looking outside, as Atma is there everywhere?
