I am an astronomer specializing in radio astronomy. I have worked in this field for the last four decades (Formerly with Raman Research Institute, Bangalore), and I have worked building radio telescopes in different parts of the world, observing with them, and guiding students for their doctoral thesis in radio astronomy. Presently I represent India in the Science and Engineering Advisory Committee of Square Kilometer Array Observatory, headquartered in Manchester with two of its very large radio telescopes being built in South Africa and Australia.
